Is he out of town by chance?

It's possible, but being in business I would expect him to return one of my phone calls or answer an email to a customer who has spent in the region of $3,500 with him and has yet to recieve the goods nearly three months later. As of today I have heard nothing and I am now washing my hands of the affair and handing the transaction back to the Credit Card Company.

No one speaks out against him because he has his posse who attack everyone who tells the truth about him. He has some hard to get parts so they want to kiss his *** and no one wants to offend him. Just look at the complaints on ebay about him. He has people like you who he never gets back to once he has your money. On cf he became a vendor so they do not allow complaints either. He even tried to blame all those windshields that were cracked on the shipper when he was at fault for not boxing them correctly. The guy is bad news.

My apologies for posting it on the forum but it is my last line of contact and I've exhausted all other routes. It's been nearly three months since I paid for my parts and when I consider I've had a whole exhaust system delivered from Arizona to Europe within four days (Fantastic service from B&B ), aswell as having other transactions with ZR-1 owners in the U.S completed within a week I think I have been more than patient. I only want to spend my money and recieve my parts, it's not too much for us enthusiasts to ask.
I actually don't want the parts now, this fiasco has spoilt my enjoyment. :(

I talked to Kurt on Monday of this week. I 've spent alot on injectors, pcv hose and regulator , and even a secondary air pump. Sorry to hear your trouble. He always has taken care of my orders promptly.:dontknow:

Dont let it sour you on the car hobby. Get the parts or your money back, someone else has to have what youre looking for if you cant hook up with Kurt. Hope it all works out.

Thanks for the offer guys, at this moment I'm OK. All I can say is I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a supplier. I don't need to flame the guy but I know from now on, because of the last two deals where I have not recieved my parts, I will not be doing business with him again. Maybe the European exotic car market is more valuable to him.

Regards.

I have gaskets & seals, a few new water pumps and some misc, used parts.
Doug Rippie has quite a few LT5 parts for sale
I know where a couple of engines are that can be purchased
Collectively, the guys here on the forum can probably source anything for the ZR-1.
HANG IN THERE!!

This really sucks that you've been treated so poorly.
And to add insult to injury isn't the aforementioned person who's name I shall not mention a former citizen of the British Isles?
One would hope that a former countryman would show more respect and compassion for one of his mates, eh?
I personally have had no troubles in my dealings with this company, but to be honest, my dealings have been trivial at best.
I can't say that I like some of his pricing, but I do understand that a guy has to make a living and it is a sellers market. Never forget the Golden Rule.
He who has the gold makes the rules.

Profit yes, price gouging no. :nono:

He buys up old stock at good prices then announces there is no more even if there is and charges 50-100-150% markups:thumbsdo: During a natural disaster people who sell bottles of water for $20.00 are called price gougers, and that is exactly what he does,,,,,not to mention poor customer service on top of over inflated prices

I say :bootyshak to him

I definitely will hang in there, the car is a keeper. The danger is, if one person dominates with obselete parts they have you by the b*lls, and can treat you as they wish aswell as charging heavy prices. I've got the feeling of late like you are treading on egg shells when dealing with said person and are at their mercy. Perhaps a negative to owning a rare marque, I know 'business is business' but it's one aspect that really puts me off. I have no problems with U.S Companies their service always seems to be first class. Four days for an exhaust to arrive from Pheonix, Arizona, to my door in Engalnd. Great service!!

There's always a vacation, how many can a man have :D

Deal 1.
Order a bezel and pay on April 23rd.
Wait four weeks but shoot emails to enquire where the part is
Reimbersed on May 24th. Reason; can't find part.
That's fair enough Parts can often be mislaid.

Deal 2.
Order parts to the value of $3,500 and pay for them on June 10th.
Wait five weeks and phone to ask where parts are, told problems with packing.
Wait a further 5 - 6 weeks still no parts and am ringing most weeks and leaving messages and e-mails. No reply
Notice no more ebay selling from seller, I start to feel more anxious.
Finally get email last week stating he will get back to me with shipping details on Friday. Thats 11 weeks later.
No further contact
Third credit card statement for parts drops through my door.
I've now had enough and handed the deal back to credit card company.

Have i been patient enough or is he on a three month holiday ?

Lotus:

You have given him *PLENTY* of time to complete the deal.
You've been way more patient that I would have been.
I would have had someone knocking on his door......

Wonder what's up?
I can understand taking a vacation, but I draw the line at dissing customers and suppliers.

I wonder if he treats the Lambo and Ferrari guys any better?

Pete

His selling on ebay seems to have come to a halt over the last few weeks.
Maybe he is more into the European sports car scene now, last contact address was sales@ferraribooks.com

I am only too pleased I didn't follow his instructions when he asked me to pay into a Polish paypal account to pay for the parts, instead I used my Credit Card. I could have been thousands of Dollars out of pocket otherwise and with no comeback

I have just recieved my payment back from the CC company. Here is a reply to another ZR-1 owner on the corvette forum, I have tranferred across. Just to reiterate, I have no wish to kick up dust but I think other ZR-1 owners should be made aware. Hopefully KW will take a closer look at the way he does business so others may benefit.

Did you pay by Credit Card ? Or were you asked to send the money to a foreign account ?

I was asked the latter but declined and paid by CC instead, three months later I had recieved no parts so I contacted the CC company to reclaim the payment. Subject to my CC statutory rights of having to recieve goods within 30 days, I have just had the payment refunded.

I don't want to kick up dust but I feel I have a duty to other owners to keep them aware of my dealings with KW and WR. Communication was non existant at one point but when we did have contact I was constantly lied to about the whereabouts of my parts, which came to the value of $3,500. That I can live with but what really concerns me is I was asked to Paypal the funds to a foriegn Account, in which case would I have been able to retrieve the payment ?
I would reluctantly rather sell my car than have to deal with KW again.
