Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm looking (finally) for a ZR-1 for import to Europe. I'm seeking for an original, unmolested car in good condition in appr. $ 20k price range. Reasonable modifications are not a problem.
Because of seafreight aspect E, S-E, S regions would be preferred.
I'm looking forward to your PM:s.

This one isn't stock, but dump a few of the decals and it would not be bad

All stock motor. 4.09 gears, catback and 1995 GM Amolds.
Ha some miles, but solid strong running car for a couple thousand under your budget.

And to answer your next thought, youre covered. For a few Gs more then you wish to spend on one car you could have both items.

Thank you for the links. Mr Hammer's car in Indiana is unfortunately on wrong side of the country. The German car is totally butchered. I'll check the E-bay links later as work server blocks them.
Hammer's car is in Idaho, not Indiana. And I cannot believe that car has not yet sold. :dontknow:

Mr. ZR Prospect,
I wouldn't rule out the prospect of a nice ZR-1 just based on the distance to the East Coast. The Corvette community is a tight knit group and you never know what we are capable of pulling off. There is always a helping hand out there for ZR-1 brethren. Just my 2 cents.

What is your idea of an unmolested car? Are you looking for a driver or a show piece? There are cars out there that you can buy for that sum, but to get what I think you are looking for it will cost you around $25k. There appears to be a nice '93 posted elsewhere on this forum for that, 40k mile car that sounds like it's in great shape. It should be more in the $30k range.
It won't be long and current owners will get tired of giving their cars away. I for one hate to see it, but times are tough. Figure out exactly what you want, miles, condition, color int/ext, mods and so on, and go get it. They are out there, but not for long.
Good luck with your purchase and thanks for posting here at the Registry.

Mr. ZR Prospect,
I have a nice, 1990 Red/Red all original car on the east coast. Just turned 8,000 miles. Regional and National NCRS Top Flight 100+%. I'll let it go for say $39,000. :jawdrop: :jawdrop:
Hammer's right. Got to stop giving them away. :worship:
