Deck carpet beginning to look bumpy/lumpy !

I seldom focus my attention behind the front seats to the back deck but I did yesterday and didn't like what I saw. Looks like carpet glue is releasing a little creating bumpy areas. That smooth look is not so smooth now. Carpet is perfect except for that. Has anyone experienced this and tried to reglue it ? Just curious.

the piece on the back 'wall' behind the seats?

it is not glued down.. but the MASS backing might be cracking and causing the bumps
