Too much to list, hi fwy miles. Most expendables/wear items new or recently replaced/gonethrough. Details at 4sale sec at CF
Hop in, turn the key and drive. Not perfect but very good driver, very presentable paint and interior, no need to feel guilty about putting miles on it or having some fun with it.
Reason for sale: eliminating some debt, finishing other project.
Car does not need mechanical work or have "up and coming problems"

Man, it seems the drivers aren't moving? It's sort of a shame, since that's what these cars do best... I hope you get a buyer, sounds like a fun car!

Motor has approx 5500 miles, comes with clutch and flywheel, no accessories. Stored properly. Car has hi miles, runs cool, drives tight and solid.Strong runner.
Coolant pipes and orig wires are layng underneath the plenum (on extra motor) fwiw
Here some info about ZR1 #2096.
The Good:
-4.09 gears, less than 10k on it
-Haibeck tune
-160 stat
-Meth injection
-Dual 3" exh, Dynomax super turbos/bullet resonators
-Relocated MAT/K&N
-New clutch hydraulics, fresh trans fluid
-Samco hoses and air duct
-New radiator, water pump, SRP 160 stat
-fuel system from pumps to injectors all replaced. (RC 205)
-New pads, rotors, rear wheel bearings, speedbleeders
-Freshly rebuilt Bilsteins with "Moracca" valving
-Doug Rippie poly bushing set to match shocks

-Weatherstrip all arround is nice, it has been replaced at some point. Car has been repainted once.
-Windshield has pitting reflecting mileage-
-Just put manual fan switch in (out of sight)
-Dash, door panels, carpet, etc are nice. Not beat up looking
-New battery (I let it sit a year to do a ton of upgrades)
-Just passed CA smog
-BMAD (scoop below bumper for cooling)
-Very nice GM A-Molds with brand new Sumitomo rubber all around
-Kenwood head unit/EQ/CD changerw/bazooka tube. Very clean install, changer is hiddenw/remote
-WIthin last 10k miles new coils, wires, platinum plugs
-No leaks or drips, funny mechanical noises, not a "smoker".
-Rides tight and solid. Some C4s are rickety rattle traps, this isnt one of them
-Ungo alarm with keyless
The Bad...
-DS bolster on seat has typical tear. Bladders inop (easy fix)
-Leather over time has "shrunk"...(A little harder than new supple leather but doesnt have the pronounced cracks or anything) you see in older seats.
-Column has typical "springy" slop and eventually should be repaired. Havent had time for it just yet. Parts are availabel to fix I can provide #
-AC works, needs to be charged. I tried it once when I first bought it, never really use it
-Eventually the TPS connector should be replaced, clips are shot.
-Never tried the cruise control or heater, never use them.
.It is what is is, a 145k Z in good shape with a lot of the "nickel and dime" stuff done. Starts every time, never runs hot or does funny stuff.
Bought the motor from a memebr here..History from day one.
Serious only. Clear title in my name.

This is about the worst time to sell as far as getting a decent price because the entire used car market is in the tank. In the not too distant future it will turn around so hopefully you can hang on until then.
As a marketing/selling suggestion you could make it OBO rather than list the price as FIRM. I know you don't want low ballers but maybe raise the price a $1k with a obo and who knows you may get an offer close to what you are asking now. I hope you are able to keep your KOTH but if not good luck on the sale.

See what happens but honestly things are on the wire so something has to give.
When I had it priced higher OBO I got a lot of hatemail and insults through the other forum and Craigslist.:blahblah:
This thing seems like it needs to be seen in person. Most dont know much about them or the durability so common scenario is a lot of interest when its out until they ask how many miles are on it but that is to be expected. I may as well have blown a can of Bean-O out of the chute they run away so fast.

That is a good idea, so bring it to a show or two. I know there are plenty of cars for sale at a weekly show down here so try and find one locally. Once you explain what the ZR-1 and LT5 are you might get a bite.

I see it's on the BAY now. GL with the sale. I'm watching yours close 'cause that's where mines headed soon.

08-17-2008, 11:02 AM
Thanks Hammer. I have heard all the negatives about the Bay but why not.
I cannot believe yours hasnt sold, yours is one of the best deals around.
Have a lot of other parts to sell so if this works out Ill be a regular there.
I gotta say selling this thing really really bugs me. Ive had a lot of cool HotRods but nothing quite like this car, it does a little bit of everyting very good. With 2 200+lb people in it the car will still try and break em loose at 4k. For a stock car I think thats impressive.

The biggest problem with Ebay is people are looking to buy something for nothing. As we know, these cars are not going to sell for nothing. I myself will not give my "old" car away. I will just make the payments and I'm thinking the price will go up to compensate for that. Low Book on my car is $18,425 stock, and it's not a Low Book car by any means.
Again, good luck with your sale Ron.

08-17-2008, 11:23 AM
Thanks. "Average" condition with figuring miles in on mine is 18k change, "poor" condition is around $15.5 last time I checked.
I was hoping to get 23k for the car and the motor..Probably take 22 and run right now and that would bug me. If it solved the dilemna Im in now it would be worth it but if I think I have to sell it for salvage price to move it Ill be in a lousy sit. anyway so Ill just keep it, go to Iraq for a yr come back and mod the living hell out of it like I really wanted to.
What works against me is the odometer, without someone seeing it up close they naturally assume its beat to death but hey who wouldnt.

They yanked it. Somebody probably reported it. Mainly for the sentence of will accept cash. New account zero feedback. All sorts of red flags are going up.

yes, that was it. I got a couple calls asking what I got for it :icon_scra Sent them an email asking them what to do about the ad for the car, I cannot edit that out and didnt know you couldnt do that.
Hope they will eat the charges on the first motor listing being as they deleted it. Whats up with everyone asking what I want for it? THeres a reserve...youd think one would call if they really wanted it .
Oh well, its all new to me.

For all you members emailing me about it I am new so I cannot post a reserve on Ebay.
Its 17.5 on the car, 7950 on the motor.
Ill take 23 for the pair..
or 17 for the car, 6 for the motor. No less, period.
I will not be relisting it on the bay. My number is on there, want it come and get it now.
I need it all gone this weekend, auction is up Sat and Sun

Sale i salmost over, bids on the bay are pathetic. Will not be selling for anywhere near $12, 900 .
Its worth 15k just in parts...
Make a reasonable offer and come get it.

$12, 900 highest bid.
What a damn joke. :-({|=
You can part it out and get more.

Frustrating...no way thats market value. Im betting the motor will get a least 6 but cant even get 17 for this?Bet I couldnt even get 16, which blows-LT4s sell for that. Bad timing I guess.
Edit: Pulled the motor too, only 1 consistent bidder who didnt have the money anyway.
Plan B:
Punt.
