I'm surprised by how many local Vette drivers didn't know about the "Gold Tour" feature at the Bloomington Gold show in St. Charles, IL. It is on Saturday afternoon on 6/28, rolling out on the road at approx 5 PM. It takes about 1-1/2 hours to complete the circuit, depending on traffic, and it takes about 30-40 minutes for (as many as 3000) Vettes (a few years back) to stream out of the staging area. (Not only do ya get to see all kinds, ya get to hear 'em too!)

Anywayz, it occurred to me it might be a great opportunity for "Z" boys n gals n other Vette drivers as well to get together for a bite. The tour wraps up around 7ish on Saturday night - prime time for a get-together at some fine dining place and chewing the fat.
There are a number of nice places nearby to the tour termination location - away from the general traffic hub-bub of the BG and St. Charles (in general). One possibility comes to mind where (my wife) Ami and I stopped at after the cruise last year, called (I'm trying to remember now) the Fire Brick(?) ... on Rt. 47, just south of the "Tour" route. (Can't seem to find it right now -I'll narrow it down - on Rt. 47 just north of Yorkville, if I recall.)
What say U?
