Thanks -=JEFF=- for posting the pic. If you have some drawing of what you would like it to look like please email me a pic/drawing or fax me a pic/drawing at 3256255795. This is still in the early planning stages but the cost will be between $50 and $80 (plus shipping) depending on what is wanted in the design. The attaching will be the next thing addressed but should not be a problem. I was thinking of leaving it black and letting the machining show thru like the pic. Everyone ok with that? Suggestions?? I'll keep you posted on the progress and xlr8n is the first in line. Hawaiizr1 has also requested one so keep em coming. Thanks, CT Machining

one option could be, instead of the HP you could have the car #... that would be cool

Thats a Great idea. Are you going to improve the cut and fit Carter like HawaianZR1 pointed ount on the other forum. Match the curves that is?

Keep the design request/suggestions coming. I'm thinking of attaching it with velcro so it can be removed and stored for when you want to display it. What do you think of that?

Makes sense but I was think about it all morning. How the hell would you get it mounted considering the height and angle and placement on the hood?

My fear with velcro would be that vibrations could loosen it up. I do like the idea of the production number in lieu of the HP.

Valid issue but if the entire unit was velcroed with that aircraft industrial stength stuff that should not be a problem. I understand your fear bobby if it dropped onto the tops of our powdercoated motors :(

Do you need a crowbar to remove the industrial strenght stuff? Don't think that I have ever seen it...........Is that what holds your airplanes together????

Ok guys, the idea with the velcro is that you can put it on the hood when you are stopped at shows or whenever you are NOT driving. Would not recommend leaving on the hood and driving around.
Maybe the heavy duty double throw down industrial strength velcro can take the abuse. The piece will be extremely light so weight is not a factor. I would think heat/vibration would be the challenge. Any velcro experts wanna chime in?

Carter, I dont know about the quality and to be honest "hand made" for your cost sounds like a deal. I will try to find where I saw them for sale and post a link here although it was some time ago. I am thinking it was Ecklers, Mid Am, Corvette Central or one of the other parts dealers but they were just like the one in the pic posted here.
