90-95 ZR1 Shocks?

My uncle has a 1991 ZR1 with 9200 miles on it. Is it common for the rear shocks on a 1991 ZR-1 to show a fluid stain on the shock and the shock not be blown. He thinks they are blown but we have heard that the stain is not uncommon and the shocks may not actually be blown. Thanks

A little bit of fluid seepage is normal.
