What's the color used on? Can paint be shipped across the border from the US?

Its not paint - its a gasket sealing compound. Similar to permatex

interesting website Jeff. the stuff i use was made by Valco/Cincinnati, 513-874-6550. it's in a 100 gram tube & has NO part number, just says original blue medium. works good in certain situations. good luck Dave.

Hey that's not a bad idea. I'll take you up on that if you don't mind. I already did the paypal for the brackets so just let me know how much extra for the blue and I'll sort it out.
Thanks Jeff!

You might be able to order it and have it shipped to me. Either way is fine.

Is it specified for use on our cars?

Not that I'm aware of. It was developed for jet turbines by Rolls Royce and is used by most auto racing teams so far as I know. When I was drag racing in England I used it all the time (its pretty common there), but as I mentioned have had difficulties locating it here. It's pretty amazing stuff. Extremely useful around engines.

I had never seen the stuff here in TX, or anywhere else for that matter. The US source is in a Houston suburb not too far from me.
Must have a big dose of unobtainium in it based on the cost ...
