I walked away for about 15 minutes and the system logged me out.
What do I have to do to stay logged in ? Move the mouse, go to another thread, what ? [-X

Do you check the box to stay logged in?

At the risk of sounding like a complete doofus - what box?

Oh, that's intuitively obvious - not. Thanks.

If I had written the code the label would have been "keep me logged in".

I thought the remember me button just put a cookie in your system so your username would populate when you open the sight. I don't think that has anything to do with timing you out.

:iamwithst I get bumped every time when I respond to post and it takes more than a few minutes to type it out. The check box is selected by the way. I just copy the post to a clipboard and paste it if I have to log on again. This way I do not lose everything I have written.

I just doubled the time out so you'll stay active much longer now.

It should put a cookie on your system that acts as an authentication token. Meaning you should not need to log in the next time you visit the site. I've had problems sometimes with various vBulletin sites where you can get in an odd state about it retaining this auth token. Sometimes clearing cookies and starting over helps, but not always.
