So far I have about 7 hours time in pulling everything out & cleaning/painting time. There has to be some weight savings here!! The headers seem alot lighter than the cast manifolds.

Those look great. Hope the paint stays on. Try the heat cycling like I posted and good luck. 5-6 times maybe to get the paint cured.

Its Plasticote # HP-14 supposed to resist heat to 1500* Its a silicone resin base paint. I cant speak for the results yet.....waiting for gaskets. Once I get em' bolted on, I'll "cure" em as per the directions and see what happens.
I just wiped the headers down with Prep-Sol, followed by a nice healthy washdown with Brake Kleen, let them dry & coated them with 3 light-medium coats.
