http://putfile.com/

WELL THERE U GO NO MORE EXCUSES 4 ANYONE NOW HOW TO POST HERE ONCE U HAVE A URL...i.e. http://cardomain.com/ride/390224 u copy and then paste...to post here click on Img then copy your url then click on Img* there that was not so hard was it????

If u are still confused then u are computer dumb and need a nerd to show u how to do this in person!!!!!

Hi Gasman57, Look I'm not PC literate either but if you have windowsXP or anything in windows down to windowsMe they have built in tutorials. Usually in "help". I have XP and it has a "Tour Windows" topic and from there I can get to help or you can click on "help" on the "start" menu.

I feel your pain...I'm waiting for when I can talk to my PC & it does what I want! :???: Tom

copy and paste is a very basic function...lets say u have a url like

http://cardomain/membersrides/345678

put your cursor at either end and left click and slow drag it across untill the entire http://xxxx/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxx is black highlighted.....now put your cursor right on top of the blacked out http line anywhere and right click...you will now see undo cut copy paste delete and select all(sometimes a different chart with even more options will pop up but you will find copy in there as well)....left click on copy...now go to the page where you want to paste the url/http into, place the cursor over the blank spot and right click.. the same chart will pop up...now click on paste and voila your http://xxxx/xxxxxx/xxxx will now appear...you have now mastered the copy and paste function....congrats....       I need ur email so I know where to send my consulting bill too Mr. 57 ;) ;) ;)

Here are my 3 vettes:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/My%20Cars/100_1052.jpg
The blue one is a 84 that I have had for 6 years and love that car. Now it is my daily driver with 103k miles. The red is another 84 that I have had for about 2 years and is auto with headers. crossover and flowmasters with a few other tricks Im not sure of inculding a shift kit(bought it all that way)
And of course the white one is my 92 ZR-1 I bought in Feb. All stock with 36k miles and has all the paperwork.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/My%20Cars/TransAmposting.jpg
This is my 86 Trans Am that I have had since I was 18, 12 years now. It is going through a rebuild including a 350 throttle body(was a 305 carb), new B&M trans, and all the wiring is being replaced to accomadate the tbi from the donar 89 Camaro that has since been stripped and sold.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/My%20Cars/f5761a75.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/My%20Cars/100_0824.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/1957%20Bel-Air/100_1001.jpg
These are a few of the body of the 57 Bel Air that is my long term restoration. The chasis is now done with disc brakes up front, 2" drop all the way around and everything replaced, repainted, or powdercoated. Some day I will have that car done. Now I have to start replacing the rusted sheet metal, but I am going to finish the Trans Am first.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/ffvetteman/My%20Cars/100_0191.jpg
And last for now is my dad's 77 Corvette. We bought it a few years ago as a basket case and have done a lot of work to it. We replaced the front suspension, rear suspension, steering, brakes, interior, and sent it out for paint. Paint was the only thing that we did not do.

Well that is most of my toys excluding my 89 silverado and Ninja.

Love all the toys here!!! You guys have some cool toys!!

67..More of a restomod..T-56 6 speed,4.11s, all the suspension goodies, 6" rod solid roller 358, heads by TOny Mamo, approx 560chp. . Low, simple and fast, just the way I like it. No power stuff except steering and brakes.
THanks:cheers:
Heres a pic before I tore it apart...Trying to get the motivation to finish it, its been a tough road on this one.

Sounds great. I sure liked my '67, I think the dash and the general interior were real comfy. Totaled that one after 1 1/2 years of ownership (long story) and I always missed it. I paid $1,200 for it in 1978 and it was done. Butternut yellow with a 283 and a 3 (speed) on the tree. Post when you are closer, I would be interested in seeing it.

If you only have them clamped they can move on you over time. Many people have elected to get them just right and then spot weld them in a few discreet places to hold the positioning.

the KOTH with the new younger upstart. I still like driving the ZR1 better but there is no doubt that 800 rwhp in a 3100 lb car is DAMNED exciting. hooking it up has proven to be a challenge. I turn the boost down to 10-13 psi and the thing still squirms and trips the traction control constantly. the active handling is kinda cool, and the car is tight as a drum.. the zr1 still gets my blood flowing like no c5 can but I was tired of waiting to "blow up" my LSV to TT it. I promised the Ms. I wouldn't tear into a perfectly good LPE engine just to make more power I really don't need and the TT Z06 cost not alot more than the TT ZR-1 project would for a turn key car. both are paid for now so the "vette bank" is pretty full. now that my daughter has the little S Box Mazda (my only practical car), my daily driver is a vette or a turbo buick.

the least of which is a 300 hp lt1 94 auto which still runs great with 80K miles. the car was bought from a fellow ZR-1 owner who now has my dunns head 95 zr1 from Mr. 95 ZR-1 himself. Ted Dempsey. I think ted may be "down" to 4 95s now, he has the american flag combo, red white and blue. god I love the 95 zr-1. a very refined and thrilling auto to be sure.

I may slap an automatic in the z06 to help me hook it better and tame some of those power shifts which really just blow the tires off. I'll keep you guys posted.

the turbo buford, this is a low 11 sec street car, will dip 10s on race gas.

It's for sale, the Ms and I have moved and we are paying two houses right now so I need some $$

priced to sell, car has 30k in it, I'll take 11 for a registry member that wants to get into a turbo buick that will rock.

Boy oh Boy---and I thought your 88 ZR-1 was quite the project Tyler---You really have your work cutout for you on this one-- But you know what, I think you will have a lot of fun and the reward will be great when it all comes together and you look through all the progress photos and think-- look how I took this long forgotten and abandoned vette and resurrected it from the dead and breathed new life back into her! It will truly be a most honorable and terrific project and the ends will ultimately justify the means! Hats off to you for taking on such an ambitious project!

Great cars. What lift do you have and how tall is your ceiling ?

flyin ryan
06-01-2008, 05:21 AM
the lift's are from Direct-Lift. 1-866-347-5438 toll free. i'm very happy with them. i've seen the majority of other brand of lift's out there & there is very little difference between them all, to be fair. a dealer for these is not too far away from me so that made the decision. maybe these aren't made 100% in the U.S., whatever that means these days, but everyone that knows me can attest to how fussy i am & i'm plenty happy with Direct-Lift's quality. ceiling is 10' or a true 9' 11". lots of room. feel free to ask if you have any questions, more than happy to help if i can.

Wow, only a 10 foot ceiling. It looks like you can almost stand up under one car raised as high as it will go. I have a 10 foot ceiling and always assumed I needed 12 feet. I am 6 ft. tall; would I be able to stand up under my Z on your lift ?

I just put a Bendpak HD-9 four post lift in with a 10 feet ceiling and have plenty of clearance for working under the car standing up and I'm a little taller than you. I can raise the Z to the lift's max height and still have about 4" left for releasing the locking dogs. Any more than 10 ft. ceiling height would be a waist unless you got an extra tall lift.

I am 6 ft. tall; would I be able to stand up under my Z on your lift ?the picture your looking at is with my Stingray on top & it's sitting two clicks lower than my rear lift because of the door operator (side mount jackshaft operators were not availible up here when i was ordering my door from Liftmaster) if you look close you'll see the light for the operator above the car. so to answer your question, you can't stand under the front lift but the rear lift you'd have lots of room. i question why some have to have a 12' or even 14' ceilings? most times i see it turn out as a waste, IMO.

I converted my 8 ft. door over to a torsion bar spring setup and went with the Liftmaster model 3800 sidemount garage door opener. Swaped the vertical rails out to those used for an 8 ft. high door. Except for the shaft got everything online at ProDoor (great price and fast delivery):
http://www.prodoorparts.com/products/167.cfm
Mike there was very helpful in putting together everthing needed for the conversion.
Picked the shaft up from local Home Depot, 10 ft. section of 3/4" inch regular pipe.

Awesome! I am in Lafayette! Exciting to see that there is another Z in my area! Only time I have seen one other than mine was in 2017 at a local Vette show.

Thanks! The 13 and 19 ZR1?s are Dads but I couldn?t resist posting all 3 of them together. 3 Camaro?s are project cars that we have been working on all year.

Hin532 great collection of cars. I also have a love of cars with my dad. He bought 3 new c4 zr1?s, he no longer owns any of them but he has a 69 chevelle ss and a 93 convertible c4. He is more into older trucks and blazers now. I have owned corvettes since I was 18.

OK I have resisted this thread for many years but I now have time on my hands so here I am. Other than the Z06 (Sorry no more ZR-1s) my main interest is toy trains. Specifically, Lionels from the year 1950. Like the ones I had as a kid but which my mother gave away to the church when I was at college. In the early '90s I was having lunch with a friend who said he was cleaning out his garage and found a set of his father-in-law's Lionel trains that he was selling. I asked him to tell me about them and they sounded very much like what I had, so I asked if I could buy them. They turned out to all be from the year 1950 and included several really good engines and lots of accessories so I brought them home and set up my first of four layouts over three houses. Everything was carefully wrapped in newspaper dated July 14, 1954. I continued to add to the collection over the years, focusing only on the year 1950. The layout I have now, while nowhere near as big and detailed as Jim Voter's layout, is perfect for me. It is only 11' x 11' but I can run three trains at once and everything that I own is on the layout--no shelves. It is not heavily detailed and is built "old school", meaning minimal electronic items, just the way one would have built it in the '50s. As I often say, it is a layout that any eight year old would be proud of. I have good running examples of 80% of the items listed in Lionel's 1950 catalogue (which I also have). I do all my own maintenance, repairs and rebuilds. The current layout was even the subject of a four page story in the May 2018 issue of Classic Toy Trains magazine which focuses mostly on "O" gauge trains. Anyway, it requires about a month's worth of maintenance in the winter and keeps me off the street. --Bob

My 62 Belair has been my trusted sidekick since I was 16 (50 years).

Then there is the Green Monster.

The Volts are our daily drivers. Don't laugh. They are great fun also.

I also had to include my Hot Rod lawnmower. When cutting grass turns into a carnival ride!

Hello Matt B, It is not a stupid question at all. My wife, parents, and friends do not understand either. I am a DOD civilian and move around more often than when I was active duty in the Army. I have a home in Japan and one in Hawaii, but I am retiring in Japan where the Z lives now. I hear you as I fell in love with Japan the first time I did temporary duty there.

Nice collection of toys you have. Love the S6s or any of the S Line. After retirement I want the Mercedes AMG Shooting Brake since my wife loves wagons and I love performance.

Very nice, I can imagine live in Japan being sort of special but very satisfying.

Unfortunately Audi is not what it used to be back in the days. If you ever get the chance to acquire one of those S6 models (interestingly it's also a "C4" according to the model line) this is one of the best cars Audi ever made. If treated well these will last forever, no matter if with legendary inline 5 turbo or V8 engine. It's a classic that was state of the art when I bought it.
You will love the AMG, they're engines are handbuilt masterpieces!

Thanks for your thoughts. There are pros and cons to everywhere, but I guess we all know it when a special feeling tells you this is the place to hang your hat as your final abode.

I have only owned my 11 Audi A3 Sportback 1.4T (entry level at best) but I do love the car and can only imagine how the higher end performance Audis are. I see why you are never letting your S6 go. The Germans do build great machines regardless of Audi, BMW, or MB. The MBs are an easy sell to my wife since she had them before I met her and I?ll call it her car. [emoji38] I figured splurge in retirement and get the car I?ve always wanted before leaving this earth and turning to dust. I want to have performance while I can still drive it and make use of the car?s potential.

Sounds like you are getting a newer Baron. They have been around for a long time. The last time I rode in a Beech Baron was the summer of 1967 in Vietnam. Flying with construction consortium RMKBRJ's president to tour airbases there. Two Barons carrying civilian and military people. Guy was an ex-Korean war jet pilot. Flying from Saigon to Nha Trang, contrary to company rules, he overrode the pilot and took the controls. Tired of flying at 3,000 feet he dropped down and followed the roads for a while. A Navy LT in the back almost got sick (said he hated small planes anyway). When we stopped in Nha Trang for a bathroom break, the Navy LT got out of our plane, went right over to the other one and strapped himself in. Enjoy the Baron--it is a great airplane.--Bob

Bought this 75 a few months ago. 12,000 original miles both tops fully loaded,I think. Slowly coming back to life, this thing is so original it even has the stainless steel license plate frames it left the factory with. My plans: front coil overs in the works, drop the front about 3 inches, drop the rear about 2-1/2 inches. Serious deep clean, detail tge engine compartment. Gut the interior and clean everything before it goes back in the car. This car sat in a garage fir 35 years and basically was forgotten.
