Took the car out for a brief sprint down the road, however I noticed a serious problem. When I get on the gas even while the car is moving, with ASR on, I don't really go anywhere the tires just spin, and the car kicks sideways.
I don't have any type of scan tools, but my diagnosis is that I have way too much :censored: power:D
Some problems are good problems to have:dancing
I did have a high idle when I first started, however I shut the car off and restarted and it dropped to 750, and was fine after that.
I do have one question, how much should the serp. belt tensioner bob up down. Mine bobs more than a truck stop call girl.....wondering if I need to replace. :icon_boun

Try putting a block of wood under the accelerator, or turn that :censored: switch on the dash to the left. That MIGHT help
As far as kicking out to the right, I'm hoping some of Bill B's beam plates will cure that.
Well, I've got to go out and install that block of wood...Too danged nice out to let the Z sit!!

People seemed to think that was normal.

Mines about the same, maybe thats needed for the high rpm.....too tight maybe the stress would damage the belt.

I've ran across the same problem with putting pressure
on the accelertor, my car smells of burnt rubber and
the engine seems to increase in volume. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j9/kmoudy/cartoons/drive.gif
High idle could point to a vaccum leak? I had one, and thats what she did.
I believe the belt is designed to flex. but i've been wrong before. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j9/kmoudy/cartoons/wrench00.gif

Ya got to get the tires up to temp before ya start to play with those high hp Z's :sign10:
was the battery disconn'ed? It may have had to relearn "cold start" for the IAC? Usually that happens to mine everytime I have the Batt disconn'ed for work. :o
My tensioner bobs quite a bit @ idle also.
