Folks, I am looking a 1992 ZR-1 and wondering if anyone can tell exactly what documentation came with these '92's originally?

Thanks for any help.

No kidding dude. Hey, this car has no documentation and from what I can tell the guy's entertaining an offer of $13k. Although he says he has higher offers. LOL, sure he does.

John, I can tell you what might came with, but note, I dont think it's a complete list. The standard owners manual in a leather embossed, zippered notebook with warranty and other info. Pen, tire pressure gauge, spare key. It also came with a VHS video but I'm not sure if that was a standard item or not, I'll check my NCRS book tonight and see what they say

Well, I made an offer on a 1992. The guy says he has higher offers, but he hasn't turned it down. So, I might be able to get it. I doubt it though because he wants $20k and there is defintley some work it needs. Stained motor and some kind of clutch problem. He says the switch, but I think we know otherwise. I haven't looked at it and even if I do, I might not want it now that I know what higher mileage cars need.

As we all know, these cars ain't cheap. Mine is in the shop right now getting a clutch replaced and it's going to run about $600, not including a flywheel. I think the flywheel will be OK, no problems other than slipping, but won't know for a couple of hours.

John, According to the NCRS Tech Manual the 92 center console should include:

Black Leather folder
Owner's Manual
Warranty Booklet
GM Protection PLan agreement and Vehicle Identification No. Card
Goodyear Tire policy
Recommended Maintenance Schedule
Tire Gauge
Emergency Keys and key notice sheet

This black leather folder document package was in in a black plastic bag with the words "CORVETTE DELIVERY SYSTEM" and logo similar to that on the leather folder Bag is labeled part #10167599 (how cool would it be to have that bag)

Hope it helps!

If you get a chance look at your FW/ Put a straight edge to it. You may find that its concave if its the stock one. I replaced mine with a Fidanza.
Clutch disk was grabbing only on outer edges.

The face that the clutch rides in appears to be good. Can't get a .15 feeler guage anywhere close to going under. We scuffed the flywheel up and it's back together. Attached are a before and after of the flywheel. BUT the shop called me at 5:30 and the car won't move. I went down there and sure enough you can go through all gears with the clutch out and the car running. They are probably going back in the bellhousing tomorrow. I doubt if its a hydraulic problem, but they will know as soon as the slave is removed. I have already talked with Jeff and he feels it is probably the clutch fork not seated on the ball or something.

This is a bummer, but I have no doubt they will get it fixed tomorrow. Good reputable shop, just no experience with this particular setup. They are getting it now though. Oh yeah, they are on flat rate of 4.5 hours which they have already exceeded.

It might help if this guy gets back to me. This stuff needs to be there for the value to be there. I just want another ZR-1 for the wife.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the posts, the '92 was sold on Ebay for a whopping $15,500. They had it on there website for $19,995 and I told the guy he wouldn't get that. I offered $13k and never got a counter, all I was told is they had higher offers.
