As some of the local guys know I'm thinking of selling my 90' Z and looking to move to a lower mile 93-95 Z. I can't buy a new one till I sell this one.
So..... the question is, how much do I ask for mine.

Some input here would be appreciated.

Here are the details..

90' Z #1723 Black/Gray 54K miles.
Interior is perfect
Exterior is good but has some paint chips and flaws consistant with the mileage. The lower rear bumper and the rocker panels could use a repaint. People do however compliment the car on it's paint.
The original windshield has no de-lamination.

Mods
K&N Open Lid & Duct Support, Haibeck Chip, CORSA Cat Back, Hurst Shifter, Drilled/Slotted Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads, Stainless Brake Hoses, 32mm Sway Bar, 170' Stat, Coolant Bypass.

It depends... If you're not in a hurry, I'd want to stick it at $25k and wait for someone that appreciates your car (I've seen it and it is a jewel!).

Or, if you want to "price it to sell", I wouldn't think $21 is anything other than a hell of a bargain - especially since this is a hobby/toy and there's no need to take a blood bath on all the "goodies". I dunno, Hans...I wouldn't be in any hurry to give that puppy away. There are plenty of Zs out there in need of TLC that are going for $21 on down. You know your car, but it doesn't look like a "needs TLC" project to me. Keeping in mind these cars are 13 to 18 years old, moving up 3-5 years may just get you wider seats:eek:...(OH! Now, that makes a lot more sense now that I think about it!!!;) ) You may just be buying someone else's troubles.:blahblah: .

Bottom line: I think you should hold out for what it is worth...Somewhere in the $25k "feels" about right, considering all the things done to it.

YMMV,

P.

I have to say I really like this car, especially now that it's been sorted out. So I'm not in a hurry to sell it. However the prices of Z's, to me at least, seem to be bottoming out and I feel now is the time to get into one of the more limited production years.

do like i did and find another you like . then you get twice the fun:mrgreen: .traded my red 90 with 158k and 8 k for a 92 super natural 475 callaway zr1 with 42k miles on her . has everything i wanted to do for the red one . coil over full motor porting 19 lb steel single mass flywheel, 392 gears , brembo brakes ,corsa exhaust, all i have to do is get headers and she is done . i couldnt have done this to the red car for less than17k and i would still have had a 158k car. just take your time and this type of deal will pop up. good luck

Now that would be the ideal solution! I almost did that recently when the local "Mikes" had a nice 93' for $29K. It was already sold when I got there.

As servant (owner) of 1790, being the opposite color scheme....
I hope you get the 25K. Course, I hope you keep it too.

I'd like Hans to be happy, but I'd rather see him keep it than to "give it away", so to speak. Yeah...I hope he gets $25k too...at least!

Hans,

I would expect that you could get between 7500-8000 for your Z. However if you were to sell your car with a set of original in the box LT5 spark plug wires, then I would value it in the 35-40K range. If only someone knew were you could get a set! :angel12:

Too phunny!

Rumor has it those wires are only worth $55 at the dealer . I had no idea they could boost the selling price of the entire car by that much...WOW!;)

P.

PS. I have 6 good wires. I wonder if they would do almost as much for my car?? :p
