This morning I was up and around in the garage waiting for the mailman to get here with my speed sensor. He came around 10am and I was really glad to see him!! I got the sensor buttoned up in a few minutes & went for my first test drive since installing my B&B. Man.....what a difference. This is what it should sound like!! I only went a few blocks and got her back on the lift to recheck everything.

A tiny drip at the freshly replaced output shaft seal....normal for a new seal to have to wear in a little......so no worries there. Speed sensor nice and dry!

What was wet with oil was the oil pan! Since I had it up on the lift I cleaned everything real well, so leaks would be easy to find. I remembered you guys saying the pan bolts come loose, so I went to work on that.

I tightened all the bolts without removing any parts except the cat heat shields to get to the nutted/studs. I was able to work the front 10mm bolts with a ratcheting box wrench & a big screwdriver. I used the screwdriver to move the wrench, using the K frame support for leverage. I did the same with the 8mm bolts at he very front locations. It worked quite well.

Me & the wife jumped in and ate some lunch and went for a drive. All told, it was around a 60 mile round trip into the mountains along side the Arkansas River. Nice 70* day & clear as a bell. The transmission is alot quieter with the TWS 10w60 in it...I'll tell you that for sure....and shifts silky smooth.

Returned home & back on the lift. I was elated to see everything comepletely dry!! No leaks from anywhere. I despise leaky engines, so this is really good. Even my 158k mile pickup only has a little rear main seepage. I fixed all the other ones on it over time.

Anyway, sorry for the long post & rambling on. I'm just really glad the drips are gone. Gotta shout out to the helpfull advisors here and say Thank You again for your help! Another phase in the resurection of 1992 # 091 is completed thanks to the ZR1 registry and its great members!! I'm gonna fix me a drink real quick
