I did it !!!
A virgin no more (almost)!! Just have to bring it North to the Cold!!
I purchased One Admiral Blue/Grey 1995 ZR-1 number #438 from Maryland (the last AB). The owner had it for 12 years and put approximately 14,000 miles on it. It is a dream come true for me!! I owned a 1989 L98 many years ago and absolutely loved the car. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase a ZR-1 in the day, but, I promised myself someday…
Someday is now here!!
I must thank Larry Karlo from the Vette Net who found the car. I gave Larry some parameters I was looking for and like a bloodhound on that fall hunt he captured theeee car.
I want to thank Ryan (aka Flyin Ryan) for the incredible support and advice he has given me. He is the one who put me onto Larry. I did not know Ryan previously but I met him via Email on the ZR-1 Registry, and when we relocated to the Edmonton area I made his acquaintance. He pulled no stops in opening his doors and offering complete assistance, experience, and advice in chasing my dream...My family and I are in the middle of moving into our ‘new’ house which tends to complicate…shall I say the little things, so with that, Ryan even has offered his place of business as the staging area when the “Z†comes North!!
And even when I was in the process of purchasing the car, I had two ZR-1 owners, Jim QB93Z, and David Johnson offer to inspect the car for me, WOW!!!
The mystique of the ZR-1 is breathtaking, only few understand and enjoy, but it is these few, the owners that define what true camaraderie is. It is an honour!!
