Picked up about 3 months ago and have spent most of the last three months detailing, replacing parts here and there, upgrading brakes etc etc. Decided to have the paint professionally buffed out (boy was that a great decision...I pride myself on detailing cars but the resulting finish after Tom Dekany got finished put a whole new meaning on 'paint detailing'. I did the final waxing (Zymol Concours) and detail (Mothers). So here is my ride>>>

Everything looks great, except for the selective ride control knob! It's set on "tour"! :D

Mine hooks better on tour than sport.

And I don't have to wear a kidney belt.

LOL! Touche!

I wonder if my shocks are shot? Mine is firmish on "perf" but not nearly as bad as my Z51 '87 was. On "tour" it just seems to bottom out easily over speed bumps and such.

I used to think my interior was in good shape but, oh my god, that car is amazing! Where did you get the LT5 engine badge and the ashtray cap? I've been looking for them but I found nothing yet.

Hi Pete...
For the 'Power Plate' you can get at Mid America Motorsports>>
http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-3-54-1054.html

The throttle body "plate" actually replaces the OEM plate and is not a add on badge... but it is a beautiful piece of machining and is not hard to replace (just be carefull about removing the OEM plate so as not to damage the gasket).

Here is a thread I started on the plate replacement DIY>>
http://www.zr1netregistry.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4627&highlight=carter200

In that thread you will note plate source (Carter)..

Thank you very much for you help Michael

Does Carter still sell those plates? I thought all ZR-1's had that factory part installed but now I've realized it's some kind of beautiful add-on :-D

I already ordered the 'power plate' but I'd like to replace the ashtray & lighter cap itself, the painting is faded and I think it's not a good idea to stick the plate on a bad looking cover :thumbsdo: Do you where to find one? :icon_scra
