Sebring Wall of Champions Honors Past Winners
Track Story 2-10-2005
Sebring Fla. - The past 52 champions of America's oldest and most prestigious sport car endurance race are featured on the new Wall of Champions at the entrance to Sebring International Raceway. A photo of every winning car and a list of all 102 past winning drivers pays tribute to the champions of America's premier sports car race.
Founded in 1952, Sebring's 12-hour classic attracts the world's finest sports car racing teams, and is second only to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in international stature.
The 53rd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring runs Saturday, March 19. Gates open on Wednesday, March 16, and remain open 24 hours a day through Saturday.
NUMEROUS CAMPING AND VIEWING OPTIONS STILL AVAILABLE
All trackside reserved parking at Sebring is now sold out with the exception of the new Ulmann Straight reserved camping/parking area.
"Demand for trackside spaces has never been stronger," stated Sebring President and GM Tres Stephenson. "Although all reserved spaces are sold out, fans still have plenty of viewing options. A large portion of Sebring's unreserved trackside is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, we have the new Ulmann Straight reserved camping/parking area, and a limited number of Pit Boxes and Club Sebring tickets still available."
The popular four-day and one-day Supertickets are now on sale at advance purchase prices. After Feb. 28, gate prices will apply to all ticket sales. For tickets call 800-626-7223.
Sebring International Raceway also offers free overflow camping and parking outside the circuit, adjacent to the track entrance. Shuttle service will be available on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, for the 53rd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
