time to get the old brain box working. we all know what color Zee's we like...the one's we own. but what if you could have any color Zee, besides the one's we currently have, what would it be? you even get two choice's. i'll go first...i really like #45 polo green metallic on say a 95, & #05 dark purple metallic from 95. honerable mention to #28 admiral blue. o.k. i cheated sneaking in the last one:mrgreen: . have fun with this.

Black Rose with White interior for me would be number 1.
Charcoal Metallic with White guts would be number 2.
Black with White interior would be number 3.
And what I have, Black on Black must be the best cause I can't get number 1, 2, or 3.
I could probably suffer through Lemans blue with gray interior if I had too.
The Red with Gray guts I used to have wasn't bad either.

On a scale of 1-10,
10) Yellow/Black
9) Black/grey (very close second)
8) Black/black (was my '95's color scheme)
7) Red/black-red (which I have now) The red is growing on me and it may move up a notch or two - especially since it is a minimum of 1-1/2 miles of dirt road driving to get to the pavement and the red seems to be very good at hiding a light coat of the inevitable dust! (To go to a show, I have to wash and clean the car, and then drive it to a car wash to rinse off the dust and hope the engine compartment didn't get "powdered" - but it usually does anyway...[sigh]. Red is good.)

I think my two colors (after Bright Red) would be the Ruby and the Admiral Blue next.
Let me revise mine, absolute Favorite would be Black w/ Red Guts. They are probably unobtanium at this point. Maybe someday.
94 - 3 built
95 - 6 built
My exterior paint choices stand as above other than the Black/Red combos.

Ron,
When did you add the Blk/Red Vert to the stable? How's it run with the turbo?

Ron,
When did you add the Blk/Red Vert to the stable? How's it run with the turbo?
I added it last month. It's going to be my wifes daily driver. It's in pieces up in UT an my son is putting it back together. It had a front end hit with no frame damage just had to replace the radiator support along with the front body panels.
The turbo is still on Jerry's coupe but will be transplanted over within the next few weeks. Jerry's is getting the first production all mandrel bent system which should be complete soon.
My wife fell in love with the turbo in Jerry's car so she had to have one. The sound is just awsume...
Cheers,
Ron

It is probably cheating as I don't think there were any ordered :-({|= but it was an option in 94 and I do like the color on plain 94's:
Copper Metallic w/ Light Beige
If I am locked into actual colors ordered,
I did like the 91 Steel Blue w/ Blue interior.

First choice for me is obviously Bright Red exterior...but if I had a choice it would be Red/Red interior...mine is grey. My next favorite is AB/Red, then Blk/Red

I have the exact color that I wanted. Otherwise, my choices would be yellow or admiral blue both with black interior.

Well Curtis, here's some info on a 3rd one. I owned a '91 Steel Blue ZR-1 for just over 18 months & sold it to a guy from Paris who was in California on business. He had heard I had one and might be willing to sell it. He bought it on the spot and wired me three payments with instructions to take it to a freight shipping place in San Pedro CA along with title, California plates and the car cover. Can you imagine I had the car, payment in full and all he had was a longhand bill of sale with payment terms. He trusted that I'd ship it to him.
He called me after he got the car and I asked him why he was so quick to make the deal before he left to return to Paris. His answer was that there was a 3 year waiting list for ZR-1s in France and he had a buyer for my car. I paid ~$63K for it (Company discounted car) and he had it sold in France for >$95K. I still have some of the original documentation for it and have tried several times to determine where the car might be in Europe and offered the docs free of charge...never a response.

THANKS,
Maybe some of you might have some suggestions that could help me find the owner of this '91 #300 steel blue ZR-1.
Following is more info...
...After I posted my '91 ZR-1, color saga I decided to check my old files.
The only docs I found were a copy of the California title and 2 of the wire transfer notices showing client as: M Jean Paul Panajol
16390 Saint Severin.
Vin# was 1G1YZ23J8M5800300.
The guy I sold it to was named Herve ?something. He was to make 3 wire transfers each for $21000 to my bank; 3 because he wanted to avoid some French taxing laws. According to BofA I got 4 transfers but Herve assured me they only sent 3. I tried to explain it to BoA who said there was no mistake on their part...they had recieved 4 for a total of $84K.
I decided to quit arguing with BofA who was adament that they could never had make such an error. I deposited the extra $21K into an interest earning account.
About 3 months later a sheepish BofA branch manager called me demanding immediate repayment of their $21K error. I complied but kept the earned interest. :-D
I welcome all ideas any of you might offer to help locate this rare, 1 of 8, ZR-1s

There are still 2 in the Chicago area. A third one was sold a few years ago and went to FL(?).
