Got a good friend in the Army as a rotorhead. Stationed over in Afghanistan. Every time he comes stateside we go to the Mariners/Sonics/Seahawks game. He never pays a dime.
Fact : 1 of every 4 homeless person's are Veterans
How sad is that ?

We should all take the time to send a few cards when we get a minute.

It's that time of year again. "Veteran's Day" is Sunday. (fed holiday is Monday)
My thanks extends to each and every one of you vets, 365 days a year, but this weekend especially.
It is your sacrifice that sustained and sustains this country.
Your benefits while called a "hand out" by some are EARNED !
Thank you !

I'll second that Scott. Thank you to our vetrans. Did a Vettes to Vets ride last month, over 300 vettes showed up that rainy day.
Never heard anyone call a vetrans benifits a "hand out". That's a sad thought.

The honor goes to the twelve heroes in my unit, F Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 1969-70..who paid the ultimate price..
I was one of the lucky ones...I came home..
I think of them every day, even after 42 years....
Godspeed.....I'll see you in Fiddler's Green...
