The car's two feet in the air, wheels off, and the driveshaft is on the floor.

Oh, and the shifter is in pieces. Of course, all I'm doing it waiting on parts now. Pulled the Hurst outta the box, and the stupid thing doesn't have any bearings. Does anybody know the bearing numbers for the shifter?

Oh, and are there five bolts or six in the transmission?

There are 5 bolts that hold the trans to the bellhousing. 2 on the drivers side, and three on the passenger.

On the shifter contact hwo you purchased it through and complain.

Thought so. Couldn't see the top of the trans though.

Did that, they refered me to B & M. Called them, they wanted the reciept. Been 10 days, and nothing. Guess I'm waiting for clutch parts anyway.

Did you ever figure out a price on IH's and a plenum?

For a Hurst shifter they referred you to B & M?
:icon_scra:
I thought they were competing companies.
And was the box the shifter came in sealed?
As far as your car up on lifts: been there, done that!
You have been bitten by the mod bug.
It will be worth it once its all done.

Called 'em again. Their response was "those bearings are out of stock, maybe in 10 days." NOT!!!!

Give me the bearing numbers, and we're off to the local bearing house.

You called B&M in Chats? Had to take mine in there and have them press em in, took 10 min. None of the ones sold have them installed as far as I know.

Ken, can you snag a picture of the bearings? I installed one not to long ago and had no issues.

Do you want a picture of the new bearings or the old bearings installed?

They are definately HK1010 bearings. 10MM ID x 14MM OD x 10MM thick.

Of course, the bearing house has to order them.

Arrgh.
