View Full Version : New White Racing Windshield Stampings wrong-
Corvette95

finally took the windshield out of the crate to put up today, I noticed that my "new" windshield does not have the correct stampings on them. I thought they were going to be IDENTICAL to the GM windhsield exect for the "LOF" stamp, my stamping are on the opposite side of the glass as my GM glass and the stampings are in german or something....what am I missing here?
Everyone please look at your new glass and tell me if I am just seeing something wrong here

At second look, Kurt did not promise markings would be the same; he promised windshield appearance and quality would be the same and hopefully better than OEM.

find me the Kool-Off logo ANYWHERE on these windshields
from the thread link above "The glass will have the KOOL OFF Logo, as well as the KOOL OFF shade applied"

and those who have followed this from the VERY BEGINING remember when Kurt asked everyone to send him a picture of the date stamp on their windshields (one from every year) so the repros would be an exact match.

This vendor made promises he did not keep? How shocking. It is not as if you paid a lot of money or anything.

Corvette95, you are right about the KOOL OFF missing. With all the other markings in German, it really wouldn't add much if it was there.

Ok so Kurt didn't realize that LOF was trade marked so the manufacture couldn't/wouldn't add it to the glass.
You need to understand you are paying $1,000 for a windshield that if you could find an original ZR-1 windshield would cost you upwards of $10,000.
Because FEDX lied Kurt is out thousands of dollars for broken windshields.
Lets try and give the guy a break.

he KNEW the LOF was trademarked and said so....thats fine. BUT he said every other marking including date stamping would be exact reproduction. At the point he found out that wasnt to be the case, he OWED it to the customers that had already paid to let them know if they still wanted it or not, I KNOW he went to a lot of trouble to get the glass made and I thank him for it, but it wasnt sold honestly.
