I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of N.Western, North Carolina near Boone, just under an hour and a half from Winston-Salem and two hours from Charlotte. I'm currently seriously shopping for a ZR-1 and wondering where in the area I might find any qualified ZR-1/LT5 techs should I encounter any challenging problems I can't handle. Gotta be somebody down there in the heart of NASCAR country....Any suggestions?

I'm also into Hot Rods (have a '32 Ford 3 Window Coupe) and a Goodguys Rod & Custom member. See you at the Goodguys S.E. Nationals at Lowes Motor Speedway, Charlotte, this coming weekend.

Performance Chevrolet in Chapel Hill has a LT5 guy named Jeff that does all my work that I can't do. That's the only LT5 guy around my area (Durham, NC) that I know of.

Thanks, Mark,

I'm about 2.5 hours from Chapel Hill. It could be worse and I do have an enclosed hauler if worse comes to worse. I'll make a note about Jeff and Performace Chevy.

Based on all the research I've done on the LT5 I shouldn't have to make the trip too often. I'm assumiong my local Chevy dealer can handle the none drivetrain related items that I don't want to tackle.

All the best,
Tom
