Ok, so I turned out to be an unfaithful bastard.

What I did was I...

...sold this (my love):

...in preference of this (my new love):

It's a Ducati 996R. Produced 2001 in a series of only 500, when Ducati introduced it's new model in the Superbike Series. It's got the (then) new 998 ccm Testastretta V-twin engine, doing 0-60 mph in 4 sec's and a top speed of 190 mph. 136 hp on only 185 kg. It's a dream to ride, agile, powerful and fast, fast, fast! (And no - it's not me on the pic's)

I had a lot of fun on this excellent forum. Stay well and a million thank's for all the good advice I got and all the deep know how you provided!!!

Good question. Partly $$$, partly need to focus on one disciplin. I haven't been riding bikes for 10 years and need to come back on the track. Need some serious training. My ZR-1 is now going over to Finland with it's new very cool and caring owner!

I own a motorcycle and would never think of getting rid of one for the other. Bikes are cheap comparatively, so if you have room in the garage consider getting another ZR-1 in the future.

Hopefully you referred the guy who bought your ZR-1 to the forum?

Makes perfect sense from Finnish import POV. :) Really nice Ducati that 996R.

Får man fråga i vilken prissklass din bil var?

It's not gone to somebody in Finland that was at LeMans, Nurbergring and Hockenheim this year, has it??

I have both the Z and the bikes and wouldn't consider losing either

Nope, I'm the third owner. Bought it this summer.

Maybe we should quit this thread now and stick to ZR-1:s in this forum? I'm gonna get thrown out otherwise.
