Z Factor approached me a few months ago about a new section for tech tips and how to articles. Some of you have seen my articles and Locobobs, and we would like to continue that and have them be ONLY on the REGISTRY FORUM
This section would be for how to fix codes, remove parts and repair. All the articles will contain pictures... and on some of the larger projects I will be doing some video as well.

Great idea. Anything that helps maintain a world class car in a world where the number of qualified people to support and maintain them is declining and where access to and repair of specialized parts would be a winner in my mind.

Jeff,
I would also like to see a section where you could locate parts that are NLA or hard to find. These sites wouldn't be "sponsers" or the like but just a place to list possible places for available parts. Just MHO....

Man that's a great idea!:thumbsup:
I think that it would be an asset to those of us not near any of the ZR-1 shops.
Thank you Jeffvette & ZFactor!=D>

Jeff,
Your idea would be of a great help to all. One idea that was presented is to have it done by subject, i.e., suspension, engine, etc., that would be most helpful.
Thanks to you and Locobob for taking the time to help out all the members.

All Kidding aside Great idea, will be most helpful to some of the Cheverolet dealers & mechanics who rarely see a ZR1. :thumbsup:

The plan was to start it after we had several contributors with prime "How To" threads with pictures to get the ball rolling. Jeff as well as a few others have agreed to contribute to such a project. Several of the people who committed have yet to send me their pictures/articles for one reason or another, but they intend to.
I suppose at this point it will be ok to start the section and sticky the articles as they are submitted. I am on the last leg of my Hawaiian vacation so I will attend to it when I get back.
If anyone has taken the time to do a ZR-1 project and written down the steps they took(preferably with pictures), please PM me so we can add it to the section.
:cheers:

and thanks. This kind of mindset is why I have (and hope to always have)a ZR1.

Great idea!! I would like to see something on our transmissions. I have not been able to find much in the way of service manuals on them. Am I looking in the wrong places? Are there manuals out there?
