Is that sign on I-70? As I was heading back from Ocean City this morning, there is a sign on I-70 that has distances to St Louis, Denver and CA.
Sorry you couldn't make it it was a great show and a fun weekend.
Well done to the Free State Corvette club.

Jim,
My wife and I made it to the OC show at about 11:30AM Saturday. We did not drive our ZR1. I didn't see you there. In fact, there were very few C4s by the time we got there. The only ZR1 I saw was a 91 Blk/Blk. Sorry we missed you.

The sign is on I-50. Sacramento is where I50 begins and Ocean City is where it ends.
Here's a pic of the Ocean City side:

The missing 36 miles has since been found. The Govenator was hiding them!

Hi Scott,
Sorry I missed you. The '91 Blk/Blk is Kirk Deakins' car. He won an Honorable Mention prize in the Fun Show. Nice car!
I agree that there weren't very many C-4's. But there were some really nice ones there. Total for the weekend there were only four ZR-1's that we could find. (Two from Carroll County).
Early in the day I was parked next to Kirk's black ZR-1, but I left to run the rally. When I got back from the rally, I was put in line for the parade.
I had the great honor to have as my Navigator for the Rally, Dianna, one of the Spina Bifida Association guests. We had a wonderful time. We got talking and missed a couple of clues and had to back-track. It was a great event. I highly recommend it.
For the Parade, my rider was a brother of one of the Spina Bifida Association guests, so I got to be at the beginning of the parade (even before the Free State Corvette Club cars. What a thrill!

That's neat. The sign I saw was on I-70 just outside Baltimore. I drove across the bridge in your picture several times last weekend.
So, a ZR-1 at endurance run performance averaged better the 170mph for 5000 miles, so Sacramento to Ocean City would be about 17.5 hours. NO PROBLEMO!

we had a great time! weather was perfect, no rain, high 60s and clear blue skys. I'll be doing an article with some pics.
I really liked having it at the inlet so we could enjoy the surf and boardwalk
thanks for a great event!

Hats off to Free State Corvette Club. For years they have put on a small, but well organized and otherwise first class show in Ocean City.
The Ocean City show has always been on of my favorites. I've been going, with or without, my Vettes for years. While I really enjoyed the show when it was at the park on 124th St, access to the boardwalk was great. The Vette parade down the boardwalk is something that everyone should have the opportunity to do at least once!
