Any way to test Ingition Module?

Is there any way to test my ignition module while off the vehicle? After spending the better part of a whole day checking and rechecking connections and continuity of every wire relating to my problem...I just dont have anywhere else to check but the ignition module (underside of plenum). If it is bad, where would I find this unit...it seems it is discontinued. I punched in the number on the unit into gmpartsdirect and it came up w/ a vague description, and a pretty hefty price tag for something I dont know for sure is my problem. I am guessing this is a price for more than just the module. If it were a reasonable price I may just purchase it, but at that rate it is quite a gamble. Anyway, the part number on the barcode sticker on the module is 1103841. I talked to a dealer and was told it was discontinued, so where would I go from there if it is my prob.

Don't know why you were told it was NLA, GM shows 76 in Lansing Michigan.

As far a sa DIS tester, they do make them.
