I found some brand new, not rebuilt, Delco LT5 water pumps with the correct casting #10135833, bought them and am offering them to the forum members at a substantial discount from the going rate.
Price is $320ea + $12 UPS ground freight anywhere in the continental US. Payment by check so I don't have to absorb the PayPal fees. If you want to use PayPal, that's Ok as long as you add $13.50 to the total of price & shipping. Let me know your preference in your email and I'll confirm your purchase and give you the total and PayPal email.
There has been some discussion about the different Delco numbers and rebuilt vs new. I've researched it thoroughly enough for me to feel comfortable enough to post the following info on the subject.
There are presently 2 different Delco part numbers in the Delco system. The "old" Delco #251-561 is phased out by "new" Delco #252-703. Same pump, different supplier to Delco.
GM #10159599 is Delco unit with casting #10135833. It has also appeared with GM #10135875 on Delco box label, same casting number, brand new, no gasket.
Bottom line: no difference in pumps, all of the above are brand new units made by/for Delco for the LT5 only. No remans made by Delco or GM.
FWIW, GM discontinued the #10159599 water pump 3/07. There are 3 left in dealership inventory around the country and the price quoted to me was $600 & some change.
Just to make sure everyone is treated fairly, these will be sold on a first come, first serve basis as received in my email which is A26B@aol.com (A26B@aol.com). I don't want to have to deal with forum time, vs PM time vs email time. When they are gone, they are gone.
Here are some pics, 1st of the packaging, 2nd & 3rd of the pump.
