At Carlisle last weekend, I had the great pleasure to meet Gordon Killebrew and Marc Haibeck.

I attended Gordon's C4 Troubleshooting Seminar, and at least three times, in response to a question about a car's preformance, Gordon's answer was: "Drive your car more!"

When I was talking to Marc Haibeck about the scan data from my car, his suggestion for maintaining good performance was to accelerate hard to ~7000rpm at least three times everytime I drive it.

SO, now when I go out for an evening run, I am just doing maintenance!  ;)

I can hear it now:

"...but officer, I have to drive this fast. Do you know what carbon buildup does to engine performance?"

"Do you know how fast you were going?"........

"No Sir, I was watching the road."......or
"No Sir, I was busy in the engine room.".....or my personal favorite....
"No Sir, I was just following the vette in front of me."

Now I get to say "Gordon & Marc told me to take 7krpm three times a day!"

Get it in writing and you can say "But officer, I have a note from the doctor"

"...and just think officer, I should get credit for the carbon buildup you cleaned from your cruiser trying to catch me."

Followed by, "Yes officer, I understand my right to remain silent..."

Corvette math:

3 ZR-1's X 3 runs each a day = a whole lot of fun!
