Guys,

Picked up what I think was a good deal on a Fidanza AL FW. When I used Fidanza on my 84, I used an SLP sprung hub unit. That along with tuning really minimized the gear rattle at idle. At any other point, gear rattle was as with DM FW. Is there any equivalent clutch disc with sprung hub for ZR? I've read that stock clutch is the way to go.
As an aside, maybe they should have used ZR clutch for the C6Z.;)

Dom, you can still use the SLP sprung disc with the AF.
Only thing is the older Fidanza's the center was a bit smaller and the SLP sprung disc would not fit,if you want to find out bring it by my house i have a few SLP discs.

I found the SLP sprung disc for $100 works great for driveability and rattle,my thoughts.

Pete,

I agree with you and thanks for the offer. I'll be in the neighborhood on Tuesday. You around then? I used the SLP disc with very good result and as I have described before the gear rattle was minimal and with a good tune it was nearly absent at idle and non-existent at cruise.

You can use a sprung disc from a 93-97 LT1 F-body.

Yeap, that's what the SLP disc is.
SLP sells it cheaper then the local chevy dealer.
