Greetings all. Just wondering if anyone has a comment on this:Just read Roger E's post about using the outer slot on the injector for the clip to the fuel rail (the slot next to the o-ring?) I just pushed them into the rail and used the slots that look like they were made for the clip. There were no leaks and it runs fine. Does anybody know how much difference this makes? Should I worry?

Don't worry about it, you did it right. Did mine the same way...

Thanks Hans. I'll sleep better now. Looks like our cars were born very close together.

Noticed you have the coolant bypass, how is it and did you do the conversion yourself?

Accel sells the full set now, s/s to boot.

The Accels fit both the primaries and the secondaries. Marc Haibeck swears by them, I was just over at his shop last week. He also confirmed that they are stainless steel.
The bypass is relatively simple. Just undo the coolant hoses that go to either side of the throttle housing. Remove the hoses and run a single hose from one coolant line to the other under the front of the plenum.
I'll snap a picture of mine and post it so you can see.

How can the Accel injectors replace both primary and secondary when they are so different where they mount into the injector housing? Do the primaries come with a sleeve or something to take up the extra space?

The primaries mount and seal into the throttle housing on the lower section of the injector where the o-ring is. The secondaries mount in to the throttle housing on the wider area of the injector above where the o-ring is and seal utilizing a larger o-ring that mounts into the housing itself.
The tops all mount and seal the same way.

Ccmano's injector description is good but he has them reversed. The primaries seal to a larger o-ring in the injector housing while the secondaries seal to the small o-ring at the bottom of the injector. All sixteen use Accel # 150121. Remove the small o-ring at the bottom for primary injector use. See you at 180.

Thanks for the correction... couldn't remember which was which.. although, other than removing the primaries it really doesn't matter.
