Was the Nikasil Coating ever used on the cylinder inner walls on the LT5 engines?

Yes, the LT5 used Nikasil-plated, aluminum wet liners.

The Nikasil coating which at least on the Jaguars Forum is "Nikasil is a kind of ceramic material" prone to corrosion due to sulfar in gasoline, in the Jaguar XKR & XJR 1997-2000 is when the issue occured for them. Jaguar quit using Nikasil with the mid 2000 models.
Glad we used aluminum.

Yes, the Nikasil coating was used on XKR & XJR engines from 1997 to mid 2000.
