My job took me to Alaska for week plus. I found 3 ZR1's in Fairbanks while there. Met both owners.
Mike has a red 94 with 36K on it and was very well cared for. He said he is considering a new Z06 or maybe the new super vette when it comes out and will be selling his Z for garage space.
Steve the other owner has two beasts. One with 1K on it a driver with about 70K on it. I saw the 70K and it was in great shape. He invited me to take it for a drive on my next trip to Fairbanks in July. Steve said he is thinking of selling his driver.
I encouraged both to joint the registry. Mike had belonged to the original Z sites. Neither seemed real interested in becoming a member.
For an area frozen most of the year, it really suprised me to find about one Z per 17K of population around Fairbanks. Great fun to visit with other Beast enthusiasts.
