Out driving my new 95 today. I made a very aggressive start from a dead stop and up an on ramp to the Tollway. The throttle was too the floor through the first couple gears and when I lifted to catch third, the engine did not throttle down at all. It was stuck about 5K. I put it in 6th and used the brakes to control my speed to the next exit and shut it down. The gas pedal was not stuck to the floor, and it felt normal. I bounced the gas pedal a few times and restarted and it was still stuck. I opened the hood and looked around, but you really can't see anything, so I got back in tried it again and it started and ran as normal. I did a few more full power accelerations after that and everything was fine.

Where should I start to troubleshoot? Stuck throttle plate? Throttle cable? ASR system? I searched the forum here and did not find any posts similar. thanks for any help!

Floor mats is your first inspection.

Possible mice debris in the throttle plate cable TPS area. Ditto floor mats or aftermarket wiring hanging around.

Could be the primary throttle plate hanging up. It's actuated by a cam on the secondary throttle shaft and spring return to close
