I'm selling this 1991 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) ZR-1 that belonged to my father. It will be offered in an auction that ends on February 4, 2025 and a link with additional details are below. The car is Red with Black interior and equipped as follows:

VIN: 1G1YZ23J0M5800078; Includes (2) Targa Tops (Painted and Glass)

This car belonged to my father who recently passed away. It has been sitting up on a car lift for some time (not sure how long exactly) and appears to be original except for the tailpipe covers and an aftermarket anti-theft device he was in the process of removing - the steering wheel is removed but all parts appear to be there. I have the title in hand and can sell the car free and clear. There are only 14,564-Miles on the odometer which I believe to be accurate. I need to sell it as I have no room for it, otherwise I would probably bring it home, clean it up, and keep it for myself.

The car is located in Greensburg, PA and will be sold in a no reserve online auction on Tuesday, February 4 at 10:00am - details and many photos can be found here: https://www.proxibid.com/1991-Chevrolet-Corvette-ZR1-Coupe-C4/lotInformation/89834411

I work for the auction company and am happy to answer any questions about the car. There are some additional items we need to sell and the full auction details can be found here:

I believe forum rules requires you to list a price.

Thanks for your post. I am new to the forum and read the rules a number of times to try to understand if I was complying with them. This car is being sold in an auction format so there is no Asking Price per se. The opening bid was $2,500 and it has received a few bids already. There is no reserve so it will sell for the final bid price.

I noticed others have posted links to auctions at eBay and Mecum so I thought my post would be OK. In the interest of following the rules, the asking price is $35,000.

Clearly I am willing to take less (probably far less), otherwise I would not be using the no reserve auction. However if someone steps up at that amount, I would sell the car immediately.

Can the car be inspected in person? If so, how do I coordinate that?

I updated the listing with the price and pertinent details. However, is the car located in Old Lyme, CT or in Greensburg, PA?

Am I reading the auction details correctly, there is a 20% fee on top of the winning bid?

Yes, that is correct. 20% buyers premium, 23% if paying by credit card.
