I have a DRM custom FX3 controller on the way from JG95ZR1 with the AA208-1 chip to go along with my car's DRM coil-over setup. I'll likely leave the factory controller in other than for Autocross/Drag days.

These things seem a bit lost to the bowels of internet history, and I could not find much detail on them other than one mode is "full stiff" and the other two modes will let you dial in more/less over/understeer. DRM appears to have offered various chips, but the differences between them I can't quite discern other than some references to possibly road course, drag strip, and autocross options.

Does anyone have older DRM parts catalogs that may offer some hints? I'd love to track down the other chips if they're still out there, or burn them if I someone has the raw ROMs.

I reached out to drm@dougrippie.com to see if they have any archival information or dusty old chips to sell.

A few threads with bits and pieces of info.

Thank you, Graham. Are you aware of any others, like maybe one with stiff front and soft rear for weight transfer for drag racing?

Randy Rippie responded to me and they don?t have any archival info or dusty parts still around. Oh well.

Never heard of these before. Shame they're no longer available. The A218 AA218 Graham mentions sounds like a nice upgrade.

Feel like opening it up to see which chip is in it? :)

Holy moly, Graham! Thanks for digging that out. Now I want to find a few, see if I can pull the code off, and compare the differences.

I have one I bought many years ago, note on it says Road Atlanta race track. Never used it.

tpr60, i think you and phrogs should open them up and see what it says on the chip. For science!

The lid pops off relatively easy with small tabs around the perimeter, then two screws next to the connector. Once the screws are out, then pull the two larger black screw tabs away from the plastic body slightly while the main board facing down. The board will fall out enough where you can then remove it.

I love the old Compuserve address.

Just dug up the modified shock controler, it has a Bilstein sticker on the outside AK2100, inside chip has a pice of tape with code BB206A written in pen. Masking tape on the outside says "used Road Atlanta '94 performance modified by Bilstein". Also have the shocks that came with the contriller.
