Gee, if I had only traded in my 2016 Z06 on a 2019 ZR-1. And not driven it, of course. Oh well. There's a reason why people don't ask me for investment advice.
While I loved my C4 ZR-1s, and given more garage space I would still have them, my Z06 is a great car (31k miles at this point), is in excellent condition and a blast to drive. Thirty-odd years of technological improvements over the C4 ZR-1s help a lot to make it very enjoyable. Quite quick (per GM, 2.95 sec to 60) but it also serves as my daily driver all summer. Every time I have lunch with Marc H he drives it. He has also driven a 2019 ZR-1 and didn't think it was much faster than mine; traction is always a limitation. While the ZR1's 755 HP is good for bragging rights, my 650 is just fine, thank you. Can't even begin to think about the soon-to-come C8 ZR1 with 1,024 HP. Mine is now worth probably $20k or $25k less than I paid in 2016 but I consider that to be very reasonable and enjoyable depreciation over eight years. I would say to anyone here that if you are looking for a modern addition to your C4 ZR-1 collection, take a serious look at the C7 Z06; you don't absolutely have to step up to the C7 ZR1. But if I had only traded it in in 2019....--Bob

I can't believe people are paying Ferrari money for these.

They don't need the super expensive repairs that Ferrari's always need either.
