Maintaining factory wiper blades

I just found this information useful when I finally replaced my 32 year old wiper blades. I ordered a pair of GM# 15184702 and found they were two inches shorted than my original blades. I'm not sure why the genuine part is so different but I ended up ordering a pack of 10 ACDelco 8-5800 wiper refills. They worked in the original blades just fine and I was able to retain the much larger 20" wipers. Pictures for reference. Hopefully this helps you keep the longer wipers.

Where did you order the refills from ? I still have the original wipers after replacing them with units from Mid America . I think the Mid America replacements are shorter also .

The refills I bought were an eBay purchase. That particular listing is gone and I can only find one other listing at the moment. It may be worth buying another set of correct length wiper blades and swapping the rubber from the new to the original.
