Can anyone tell me the ID/OD of the original oil cooler hoses? We think we found a place to get the hoses replaced and crimped (technical term for that also, please?) but they need the specs for the hoses. Thanks in advance! (and yes, I DID check the manual [-X)

I just replaced mine with steel braid. The originals are at home in my garage. We pulled one of them off of the tubing at the cooler end so I will be able to measure both diameters of the hose.
It will be 9:00-10:00 PM before I get home tonight but will try to remember to get the measurements then.
'til later,

Okay, I was finally able to get out there and take a look.
The ID looks to be about 0.6" and the OD is 0.925". Since the hose is molded the OD varies a bit from .925 to .950.
Let me know if you need a photo of the end view of the cut hose. I can snap one and attach it here.
Hope this helps,
Jim

Maybe a dumb question, but don't you have the old oil cooler hose?
When my high pressure power steering hose blew (in the middle of the dessert!)
I just brought in the old hose to a hose fabricator, they re-attached both end fittings to a new braided hose. And $45 vrs. something like $350 new from GM.
Good LucK!

Yep, we do have the old hose - it's still on the car. We are trying to get as much info as possible per the request of our local hydraulic repair shop. They asked, we had no idea so I posted it here :)
