My car has been sitting for awhile. I would like to do this prior to starting. Can
Someone point me to instructions for this?
TIA,

what I do on my 1993 ZR1 is remove the fuel pumps fuses ( # 14 and # 15 )

Crank the engine about 3 times ..only cranking for 3 seconds each time ..as to not overheat the starter ....... then I put the fuses in and start the car.

works every time and no chain tension-er noise either.

Now..this might not be right ....and others may not do it this way..and may have another way

but it has worked for me for years

I don't know if this will help or not, but I enjoy the videos C&S posts and this is one I saw a while back that you might be interested in.

The comments section has multiple posts from several folks who have used this successfully to pre-lubricate an engine after it's been sitting for some time.

I saw the video some time ago. Figured it started with the story of a lady putting her feet on the clutch and gas petal at the same time to start the car at the factory.
