Yes, it's that time of year again. We had a huge success last year and hope we exceed the attendance from last year.
Greetings to all Northwest ZR-1’ers! it's that time of year again. This year marks the 4th consecutive occurrence of the Northwest ZR-1 Net Registry Gathering, to be held July 27th -30th in the Vancouver , Washington/Portland Oregon area. Mark your calendars! This event is brought to you by the ZR-1 Net Registry (www.zr1netregistry.com (http://www.zr1netregistry.com/)) in conjunction with the Rose City Corvettes of Portland, Oregon annual Classic event (www.rosecitycorvettes.org (http://www.rosecitycorvettes.org/)). Last year’s event brought out a total of 23 ZR-1’s in a rainbow of colors, and this year promises to be even better.
Event Schedule
Friday, July 27. Meet and Greet BBQ in Vancouver , Washington at Jeff and Sam Flint’s house. 6 p.m. to ? All food, beer, wine and soft drinks provided. For the intrepid, a night of drag racing at Portland International Raceway is available following the BBQ. Cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.
Please respond back to me if you are planning on attending so we can plan the BBQ accordingly.
Saturday, July 28. Largest Corvette-only car show in the Northwest, sponsored by Rose City Corvettes. $20 entry fee. Rags down at 10:00 a.m., judging at 2:00 p.m. Complementary lunch served for show participants, courtesy of Rose City Corvettes. Last year, 1 of our ZR-1 faithful took home show trophies. Car Show to be followed by a driving tour; route TBD.
For the really intrepid, another night of drag racing at Portland International Raceway is available following the driving tour and dinner. Cost is $18 to run, $8 for spectators.
Sunday, July 28. Autocross at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $25, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance). Registration at 7:00 a.m., autocross starts at 8:00 sharp. Helmet and car in good technical condition required; inspection required at the event.
Monday, July 29. Track day at Portland International Raceway. Cost is $125, payable in advance or at the event (we recommend you register and pay in advance). Tech inspection at 7:00, driving starts at 8:00. Helmet and car in good technical condition required; inspection required at the event.
Hotel for the event, rooms have been set aside at the Salmon Creek Holiday Inn. Make sure you mention you are part of the ZR1 NetRegistry group.
