I understand that there is s fuse block under the passenger dash in the 93-96 models - can anyone confirm this and identify what the fuses are for? Thanks

It is actually on the right side of the dash, not under it. You can access it by opening the passenger door and then turning the knob on the cover panel.
It has the normal array of fuses protecting subsystems of the vehicle (i.e. ecm, lights, wipers, fuel pump, etc)
a FSM will have all the info, but here's a handy link:

Mikey,
Thanks - I know that panel, however, I have heard that there are three additional fuses somewhere under the passenger dash panel..... I don't know if that is correct......

Yes there is an auxiliary panel, 1990 was 4 fuses.. I think the 93-later it is 8 fuses or at least 8 spots. not sure of all the functions, I think one is fuel pump #2

It's pictured in the glove box manual/ console manual. As stated by -=JEFF=- the MY 90 has a single block and the 91 MYs and up have a double aux fuse block

It is behind the plastic CDM bracket (90-93). It is not readily seen. It slides into the plastic CDM bracket on the backside (towards firewall). Note, while it is easy to get to once you find it, the bracket, relays and fuse are just slid together. Be sure to pay attention how everything is oriented as you have limited space and some of it has to be done by feel. Depends on what you are trying to do. If you just need to check or replace a fuse, try to be easy and just slide it out being careful not to dislodge the fuse block from the bracket.

Good to know. I have 2-1990 z cars, both are DNS now for 2-3 years, due to health issues. But next week I plan to begin the entire process again to find the problems.
I found in red car, the tiny white wire that runs up to key switch was broken from wear, which explains why the starter was intermittent, if I slammed upwards on steering wheel tilt option, I would get occasional connection of that broken wire.
Replaced switch, and still no start when running purple starter wire directly to battery, it will crank, but no fire. But if it sits for 3-4 days, and retry, the engine will fire for 2 seconds, then goes back to cranking over and nothing fires.
Why would it fire for couple seconds after sitting for a couple days. ?
