I am going to guess the whole assembly. I have a hurst shifter in it now and would like to return it to stock.

Just out of curiosity, why are you switching? Do you not like the feel of the Hurst? Or do you just want to return to totally stock for, say, NCRS purposes? I ask because I had Hursts on both of my ZR-1s and loved them. As to appearance, I had Marc H reuse the stock shift knob and the installation looked completely stock. The only difference was the stock shifter was slightly taller (really not noticeable to my eye). (Pics attached; the one labeled #11 is stock) --Bob

I think I just enjoy the feeling of the stock shifter over the hurst. I could try the hurst with the stock shift knob and go from there, but it is pretty tough to find a stock shift knob with the yellow lettering on the button. If anyone has let me know. Thanks.

Can't argue with that--the stock shifter was very smooth. To me, however, the stock shifter seemed to have a very long throw.(I was more used to old English cars like MGs or Jags). In the (very) old days of CDs, I found that when I had a CD in the changer but it was sticking out, having been ejected, I would knock it back in when I shifted into third. As silly as it sounds today, that is a major reason why I first changed to a Hurst in the '93. Also, I hated the lift ring on the '93's reverse lockout; I discovered that the spring tension in the Hurst was sufficient to act as a lockout when I shifted into fifth. Hope you solve your issue and get to driving.--Bob
