I just pulled my oem fuel sending unit to finally replace it with the single fuel pump kit.
However I realized the neither my gas tank nor any piece of the unit shows ANY visible sign of corrosion.
Fuel hoses, Clamps and the Y connector look equally great.
I have no fuel pump issues and also the fuel gauge works as it should.
So... Would you anyway swap out the OEM unit as a precautive measure or keep it?
I don't want it to fail when I need it the most - every time I ride my Z [emoji6].
But also I don't want to put it in my shelf of OEM pieces and just to let it rot down there. Only if I could safely keep it in a working condition not being drenched in fuel storing the oem unit might be an option...
