Looks great--I did something similar on my '95. I wanted a stock exhaust for the appearance and lack of drone, but with cutouts to have an open exhaust when I wanted it. I usd QTP electric cutouts and hid a rocker switch under the carpet on the passenger side of the console. Located the cutouts right in front of the mufflers to preserve the spare tire carrier. Either your way or mine works well. --Bob

In 216 I had power effects exhaust system and a friend waned it for his car.
I told him give me some time to fab up a new system. Long story I got a
used LT1 exhaust system, added dual dumps with QTP electric ( I removed
the spare tire assembly as I run a transmission cooler in that location).
Have been running this setup since mid 2016, I get good comments from
everyone who sees and hears it.

I'm going with the full wireless module set up. Super small, smaller than a pack of cigarettes really concealable. Just needs 12V and a ground and comes with two key fobs.17797

When I tried to adapt the Mild to Wild setup for my Z06 NPP valves, I ran into an interesting anomaly. If I fed power to the vacuum solenoid from 12v battery, the system worked. However if I fed power from the car?s electrical system, it would not work. The only thing I could come up w was that the vehicle electrical system somehow interfered w the wireless signal. Ultimately, I just ran wires to the back where the solenoid is located and a rocker switch in the console cup holder.

Hi just had a look on QTP web page for the red remote controls it looks like red system opens the QTP valves all the way with one push of the button as opposed to the black system which allows you to open the valves partially

Step (3) I just finished up the welding. I have a little bit more cleaning up to do. But turned out pretty good I think.. Placing the cut outs here gives me zero flow restriction with the dump valves open pretty much a straight shot..1783617837

Wow, very cool project! What kind of X-pipe is that?

The exhaust is a Billy Boat Fusion system. You could order it back in the day with a resonator or X pipe. The cut out kit I bought from Quick Time Performance it's a 3" Do-it-yourself cut out kit Made the USA. I'm really happy with the quality. I had a lot of fabrication to make it work because it's a universal kit but I think it turned out good. 17895
