My parts car has been sitting. Went to start, turned over, no start. Have fuel pressure. Not ECU, not DIS. Check for spark and have none. What's next?

Check INJ1 Fuse.. see if it is good, has anything been done to the car since the last time it ran?

I didn't pull that particular fuse. I will check that tonight. No other changes. Car was started last fall.
mice chewing on wires?
A distinct possibility. I haven't found any evidence, but haven't ruled it out.

Also forgot to mention, no codes.

And if u find that fuse did blow, the question would then be Why?

Fuse is good.

Check the connecter of the crank position sensor on the right side of the engine or do an ohm test at the connector that goes to the DIS.

I was going to also suggest crank sensor. Without any signal, there?s no spark. Won?t set a code until ECM takes over running motor.

AND the wire itself.
Perhaps it was the daily special for the the hungry local rodents.
Keep us updated.

Sensor tested good (at the sensor). Interestingly, it has a shim despite being outside the "first 500" range.

What year is the car? Did you check the fusible link powering the ECM by the battery ?

I had this issue on a barn find 91 so I have been threw these series of test, mine was a slight Bent pin and corrosion on the DIS wire harness connector.

The injectors seem to be firing, so ECM would have power.

Had the connectors out when I swapped in the other DIS to test, but I'm leaning towards a chewed wire/short, or corrosion on a connector. I had put dielectric on all the seals under the plenum last time I had it apart to do injectors.

Still no spark. Running out of things to check. All wires on engine bay side test good.

Does your check engine light come on solid with key on engine off?

No spark, but at least you have spork!
Sorry, I could not help myself. I won?t quit my day job. [emoji38]
Nothing to add, but I hope you get it resolved.

Yes.
It should flash once before solid light.

That?s the ECM self test.

After going through every diagnostic test in the manual and testing the continuity of every wire that is accessible, I was stumped.
Things that didn't fix it:
- Checked for blown fuses
- Checked for any stored codes
- Swapped the ECM
- Swapped CPS even though it tested good at the sensor and the DIS
- Swapped the DIS
- Installed new coils (was on the list anyway)
- Tested coil base
- Went through entire diagnostics checklist
- Checked all accessible wire continuities between CPS, DIS, Coils, ECM, Test Port and Fuse Panel
The only explanation was that power wasn't getting somewhere that needed power.
Bought a box of fuses. Pulled every single fuse and swapped them.
Starts and runs.
The car sat out last year under a cover for a month or two while I was moving some machines in my shop. When I uncovered it there was a decent amount of moisture in the car. Ran the AC for an hour or so, dried it out and called it good.
When looking at the fuses, several had some light white corrosion on the tips. My guess would be that one of them corroded just enough to lose contact. I'll never know which one because I was too impatient and swapped them all at once. I am going to test them all to see if I had a bad fuse that didn't appear blown.
Anyway, case closed.

Spork,
Great Catch!!!
Desperate men do desperate things!
Glad you found the problem.
Not that you should change fuses again for nothing, but I found these, and WOW, does it ever save time when something goes wrong!
Fuses with LED indicators that light up when the fuse fails.

Again, good job!

Funny you thought of those. I saw them when I bought the fuse pack and seriously considered them. In this case, because there is a 50/50 chance power wasn't coming into the fuse, they might not have helped, but in general they would be nice. Saves the hassle of pulling a pile of fuses.
