As far as I know my system is yet R12. Above 80? I just don?t get any cooling. Condenser and evaporator are clean. No low pressure codes. Local mechanics won?t even put their gauges on it. I have one pop can of R12. Looking for assistance or even convert to R134 if I have to. Car is original and unmolested. I can be at the Holiday Inn on Wednesday at anytime. I suppose we could figure out a way to plug in a vacuum pump somewhere.

Dans Auto Air in Jacksonville did my conversion back in 2001 and it has worked as it should now for over 100,000 miles. They have done the A/C work on several cars and light trucks of mine and never had a problem afterwards.
Maybe there is a reputable shop in BG.

Don't know why your local shops won't touch your cars AC. Mine has a slow leak so been having it topped off and they don't mind . In fact they offered to try and find it for me . So this year that's my plan to hopefully track it down .

Getting two local quotes for conversion with dryer accumulator change.
