Since I recently picked up a set of RideTech coilovers, I dont think im going to be happy with the stock A-Molds after the new suspension is dialed in. Also, it would be nice to have more tire options over the factory 17s.

Long Term, im not opposed to running the larger C6 Z06 wheels for what its worth.

Stock C6Z wheels are 18s in the front and 19s in the rear. Is this the best way to go? If so, what widths and offsets?

I've seen 19s in the front and 20s in the rear also. Does this open up more tire selection? Dont want the rear brakes to look too small with those large 20s in the rear...

Im looking for a setup that doesnt rub but will drop weight and improve the driving experience. Open to suggestions on manufacturers also. Leaning towards Fikse or Forgeline.

Ive had the stock C6Z wheels on my 92 for quite a few years now and love them. The stock 18/19? fill the wheel wells and give the car a bit of a visual ?rake? front to back. Of course, I also have the front and rear C6Z brakes. IMO, the C6Z wheels look as if they were made for the C4ZR.

I had a set of BC Forged wheels made last year. Very happy with the end product. Tire availability is what dictated the size for me. I wanted 18" front and rear, but ended up staying with 17" up front. Too hard to find a matched set of 18" with the same diameter. Now I just need to lower the front of the car. I've been eyeing up the Ridetech kit.

Hope someone can answer this: I?ve recently added A really nice low mileage all 100% original Red/tan 95 ZR1. It?s a great low mileage example

Still has original wheels and tire package and they?re re pristine. I?d like to store then and buy a set of every day wheels and tires and besides OEM type wheels just wanted to see what other C4-C5 or even C6 stock wheels I could pick up and get tires mounted that would work without issue?
Reason I ask is that many of the wheels listed on eBay or otherwise all seem to state something along the lines of: This wheel doesn?t work with a C4 ZR1?.

Even if they?re showing a corvette ?style? wheel That?s 17x9.5 front and 17x11 and backspacing 50~ish mm..

Just want to buy an everyday set of nice wheels (not crazy$$$) and really don?t mind if they?re a stock wheel of another generation of vette?

Cleaned up but still typos sorry

As long as they work on a ?95 ZR1
Guidance appreciated
Thanks

Due to limited choices for modern performance tires I switched to 18" front and 19" rear wheels. Now I can run the latest Pilot 4S performance tire from Michelin.

As stated you're pretty much limited by tire size. I had planned on putting a set of 18s on my car but there was only one tire size in an 18 and it wouldn't work so I went with an 18/19 setup. I wouldn't go any bigger than a 19 inch wheel on the car. I also found the 275/35 I had on the 18 inch wheel had a short sidewall that bugged me so I went with a 265/40-18,the rear is a 325/30-19.

Been toying with the idea myself you see but have not found any posts about fitment.

The fronts are ok as is. Depending on tires and brake disks used, the tire may poke past the front fender. I find it not an issue.
The rears fill the wheel well very nicely using a 18mm spacer and GM racing wheel studs for the extra strength and length required due to the spacer.

Thanks for the info. A short sidewall would bug me as well. I think a 18/19 setup looks like its going to be the way to go.

How much speedo correction do you have to make with 19's in the rear? After really struggling to find tires for my Shelby Series 1's I'm thinking of a change as well.

It depends of what size tires you decide on in 19?. Here is an example using the tire calculator to get as close as possible to stock size overall diameter.

With 325x19s, my speedo is 3mph too high at 70-80mph.

Dom, Do you use a GPS speedo and compare it to your car speedo to figure out the difference?

I use a speed app on my IPhone.
With the speed sender gear set I have installed the the speedometer error is within 1 mph of actual at 65-75 mph of road speed.

Yes I do. Its pretty consistent 3mph difference(actual is lower) when at indicated 70-80mph, which is close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades. 🤣🤣
Craig, I also used the GPS to measure TGV going under English Channel at 311kph. Why the hell we don?t have trains like that here is a crime.
