Yes Happy New Year to everyone. As is our custom, we popped the corks at midnight--Greenland time--then went to bed. (If you can't figure it out quickly, that's 9 PM in Chicago). But not too happy for us--last week I tested positive for Covid and have had heavy cold-like symptoms since. They lightlented up a bit today and I hope to test negative sometime in the next day or so We'll see. At least this Omicron variant seems less onerous than the Delta or original. We were all fully vaccinated and boosted and I am sure that has helped keep it mild, but still were susceptible to the new one. Stay healthy this new year!--Bob

Sorry to hear that, Bob! Hope you'll be better, soon! This new variant seems to be really aggressive, way more than the others. We got plenty of cases now over here as well.
So, fingers crossed for your next test!

Take care Bob and get well soon. You are right, the cases here in Hawaii are in the thousands daily now. [emoji1374]

Bob,

My gf Liz is a PA. She will tell you there is no sense in testing. You have C-Vid. Once you have quarantined and don?t have any further symptoms, you are good to go. The testing after is not predictive or indicative of anything.
Having gotten Omicron puts you in a better circumstance immunity-wise since it appears that Omicron bolsters the body?s defense against the Delta variant.

Thanks Dom and Matt, sorry for getting your original message of good cheer hijacked by me. Still thinking Happy New Year, and I am feeling much better. I may be cured as Dom suggests.--Bob
