WTB: Borla center muffler in 2.5"

Looking for a Borla center muffler/resonator in 2.5". Other brands OK, too, if similar size case (~4x8) since its going on a 'vert with the x-brace underneath. Must be good to excellent cond.

Have a stainless Jones 3" dual in/out w/ internal x-pipe 5x8 muffler (copy of magnaflow 12469) to trade or just pay cash.

Corsa does not sell these separately, you have to buy the whole system. Feet are not included lol

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not looking to spend that much right now as I'm only doing an experiment. This is for my Callaway, and I want to try running a center muffler (and maybe something more sound-deadening than the twin bullet setup Corsa uses) and reinstall the megaphone tailpipes.

This is from the older Corsa setup and NLA. I bought it about 12 years ago as a spare. I have the newer Corsa on my 90 and it is louder than my 91 which uses this center resonator. The newer Corsa systems have "Corsa" stamped on the tips of the exhaust. The earlier models exhaust systems have not been made for 15 years now have no markings on the tips. Corsa changed the resonator in the newer system.

Shipping prices right now are bat **** crazy especially since I send everything USPS and insured as the claims process with FedEx and UPS is just dismal.

The Borla system was one of the loudest systems ever made for the ZR-1 so you won't get what you are looking for there in a resonator. The power effects system wins hands down for the loudest of the after market exhaust systems made for the LT-5... Great for the track but yikes.

I am only asking for what I have into it. Price out these complete systems currently and they are very high right now price point wise. You asked for a 2.5 inch resonator in excellent condition. Here it is... for what I paid for it. If I could offer some advise as you own a Vert, this is the one you want which Is exceptionally HTF separate without having to buy the whole system. Unless you set the hot tub time machine back more than 15 years that is. Good luck with your project. GC :cheers:

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you were asking too much for the piece - certainly worth it, just can't justify it for a trial setup that I'm not sure I'll be keeping.

Most of the sound control in the Corsa setup is in the mufflers, while I would guess that comparing only the resonators, the Borla-type resonator is a touch quieter (I have a 2.75" challenge system sitting on the shelf here). It's straight-through also but combines both banks into a single chamber with 3 perforated tubes.
